August 28th-29th are set for the live in-person debut of Gunk!’s new music video for the title track of their 2026 debut EP. The video will be screened in their scenic hometown of Colorado Springs at Concrete Couch and the ever flourishing Boulder, Colorado at Square Skate Shop. A preview of the music video follows, it will be shown at the two shows and will be posted online sometime in the near future!
The video is directed by Inaiah Lujan who is an Artist and Musician located in Pueblo Colorado, the film was taken by Pepper Davis. They were also joined by a team of makeup and other set professionals to create an extremely high quality production. For now these two events will be the only way to see this music video as the film is being sent off to festivals where it will undoubtedly make a powerful statement.
Gunk! Is a musical chimera incorporating various styles of heavy music such as Hardcore, Punk, Sludge, Doom, Thrash, Grind and Powerviolence as well as outside influences from Jazz, Noise, Jungle, Pop and whatever else inspires them. Valentines day 2026 saw the release of their S/T EP on Bedfire Records(cd and tape), a 15 minute tempestuous barrage of rage and femininity that demands attention and will live in your head forever after.
Comprised of 5 Fem individuals Gunk! bring together their various backgrounds and taste to create a musical conglomeeration that blossoms with a vitality that must be experienced to understand. Band duties are as follows: Willie handles vocals/effects/lyrics, Charlotte is on Guitar, Birdie plays the Bass, Kat switches between Guitar and Drums with a splattering of screams throughout, and Mylena blasts on Drums before shredding on Guitar. I was instantly captivated the first time I saw them live and they now sit atop my list of favorite local bands, I go see them every chance I get and you should too!
