Hell Is Other People – Moirae Review

“How many times do you think about the Roman Empire?”
Not as much as I think. But here, going the other way. Greek!
“Moirae”, the NOW RELEASED album from “Hell Is Other People”. Packing a lot into only a few tracks. True Atmospheric Black Metal, songs have length but aren’t without great proper musicianship and emotion.

“Personifications of Destiny”. “Moirae” for those who aren’t familiar, Sisters, The transparent haunting, Greek goddesses of Fate & Destiny. The story alone you know the atmosphere that’s being built. The dark – foggy stage, cold crisp air, maybe even sway with the crowd live show. That’s what was built, and it was built damn good. A very solid – live show vibe.

I’ll barely admit…at first listen It was a miss for me. Only for reasons I was too harsh on and now upon a few more spins – It’s definitely an album that can be appreciated. Gets better with each listen. It felt as if you were seeing that band from the polished album, but LIVE – in your face while the maybe little irks become the identity you come to enjoy throughout.

My favorite track, #3 – “Degrade”. “Atropos”, close second. At times I felt almost like the tracks were out of order. While the tracking as a whole feels cohesive, it lacked flow. Like telling a part of the story out of turn. Just a personal preference. But overall – really enjoyed this album. After the proper attention was given to it.

The depth and fun of this album, only better on the work of art Vinyl. Releasing October 11th, 2024 via Transcending Obscurity Records.

I’ve linked the bands Instagram HERE and the track “FatesHERE . Give them a follow, spin the single – buy the album! Appreciate the band for sharing!

Until the next one.
